Romer Arm
Romer Portable Measurement Arms
The Romer arm is a portable CMM designed for manufacturing industries, such as Automotive and Aerospace, that need to inspect, measure or reverse engineer work pieces. Romer are the inventors of the measuring arm. They have more experience than any other manufacturer of measuring arms.

Features
Infinite rotation
Romer's patented Infinite rotation technology allows all the joints of the arm to be rotated continuously without ever locking. This increases user comfort as it enables the user to reach hard to access points that might have otherwise only been reached by moving the entire unit. This remarkable feature of the Romer arm increases the overall efficiency and measuring speed.

Wireless WiFi Battery Pack
The wireless battery pack, with its rugged casing, 5 hours running time and Wifi connection with a range of 50meters, enables the arm to be taken into most workplaces.

Carbon Fiber Body
Romer arms contain a carbon fiber body. In addition to the lightweight characteristics, the carbon fiber also provides extreme thermal stability. This means that the arm will not expand or contract due to fluctuation in the surrounding temperatures, therefore providing constant high accuracies.

Applications

Enhancements
The Romer arms have two enhancement options for specialised applications. The first is a laser scanner used for reverse engineering and inspection of complex parts. The second is a non contact probe used for the inspection of tubes and piping.

Scanning Solutions : G-Scan RX2
The G-scan RX2 is a high quality laser scanner which attaches to the arm similar to the probes. It collects data by generating a point cloud which can then be analysed by the software and later converted into a CAD model for inspection or reverse engineering applications.

Features

  • Easy and quick set up
  • Quick and repeatable mounting on the measuring arm
  • Compatible with all Romer arms

Tube and Pipe Inspection
The combination of Romer's non-contact probes and tube inspection software allow the professional to obtain a detailed analysis of existing tubes and piping.

Features

  • Range of non contact probe sizes
  • No contact with the tube to avoid risks of deformation
  • Laser view guide
  • Quick and repeatable mounting on the measuring arm
  • Calibration of the probe not necessary before measurements
  • Compatible with all Romer arms
